Sometimes people really do have the kind of love story you see in the movies. Take Emily and Jack for instance… college friends, they dated each other’s mutual friends for many years, never noticing that something was happening all along. Then one day everything changed. They were swimming in a lake with friends and all of a sudden Emily said to Jack “I think I need to kiss you.” In that moment they realized that after all those years they had fallen in love with each other. A long distance relationship with Jack being in the military was no obstacle for these two, they knew they had to be together. And their wedding was nothing short of spectacular! Surrounded by their closest family and friends they celebrated in style, with the beautiful details only out shined by the outpouring of love and sentiment, and the beauty of this marvelous pair. Congrats Emily and Jack- may you spend the rest of your lives making time for kisses!

Q&A with the bride:
What was the most memorable moment of your day?
Emily: After walking me down the aisle, my father stepped on my veil and ripped it right off my head. My bridesmaids acted quickly to fix it while Jack and most of the church had a good laugh.

What was your favorite detail?
Emily: It was a tie between the miniature vases with amazing flower arrangements we used as escort cards and the end of the night sparkler send-off.

Funniest memory from your wedding day?
Emily: Jack and his grandma busting it out on the dance floor to Proud Mary.

Any advice for future brides/grooms?
Emily: Photobooth is a must have!!!!

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Emily: Wouldn’t change a thing!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Emily: Home!! After spending this past year apart, we are now enjoying every minute of our time together in Wilmington, NC.
