Not only did I have the pleasure of meeting Jaclyn and Brad at a friend’s wedding last year, but it has been wonderful getting to know them. I can talk to Brad for hours about music (especially our mutual love for all things Ryan Adams), and when a Martin Sexton song came on during the reception I knew I was hooked! I feel like I have known Jaclyn for a long time- she is sweet and adorable and instantly likable. They are a great pair, and despite moving away to North Carolina (by the way,if you don’t know the amazing Ryan Adams and Emmylou Harris duet “Sweet Carolina” you should look it up!) they had their wedding at the Hotel Orrington in Evanston. Their friends and family were so thrilled to celebrate with them here in Chicago. Their wonderful wedding day was only surpassed by the way they looked at each other- a look of total love and commitment that will last a lifetime. Congrats Jaclyn and Brad!!

Jaclyn’s Maid of Honor has been her best friend and next door neighbor since she was six, wow!

One of the groomsmen was running late and got a speeding ticket….

Q&A with the bride:

What was the most memorable moment of your day?

Jaclyn: I loved the moment when Brad picked me up on LaSalle Street while we were taking pictures–it felt like I was in a fairytale.  I also had butterflies while walking down the aisle at the church as I’m sure most brides do.

What was your favorite detail?

Jaclyn: I loved our ceremony programs, ribbon wands, place cards, menus, and cocktail napkins.  My favorite out of all of those were our napkins.

Funniest memory from your wedding day?

Jaclyn: When my friend Joey unexpectedly spun me around in circles on the dance floor.

Any advice for future brides/grooms?

Jaclyn: I would recommend going to hear your specific DJ play music before booking their company and not just another person from the same company.  We did not get a chance to do this since were are living in North Carolina.  If we had done so, we probably would have picked another DJ within the same company who could create a better dance party.

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?

Jaclyn: I would try to relax and enjoy it more and not worry about every little detail going as planned because the day goes by in the blink of an eye.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

Jaclyn: Mediterranean Cruise (Italy, Greece, Turkey) by Celebrity 🙂
