Tara and Mike are such a fun couple. He is the life of the party, always cracking jokes and making silly gestures with his buddies, but she knows how to take his humor with a grain of salt. In fact, the jokes came to a halt when he saw his beautiful bride, he was truly stunned! They both had butterflies in their stomachs and tears in their eyes when they exchanged vows in front of their nearest and dearest, but the real fun began when the band fired up. It was the craziest dance party ever at my favorite venue Salvage One, “Wedding Banned” was a hit with even the oldest family members, and Mike actually ok’d them to play some of Tara’s favorite boy band music (New Kids on the Block!). These two were in celebration mode all day, and I hope it’s just the start of a lifetime of celebrating!

Peek-a-boo…

The lovely Teri was teasing away.

Tara’s mom was on wine duty.

Teri added a little more spray to make sure all hairs were perfectly in place.

Carley touched up Tara’s makeup (Teri and Carley are the awesomest by the way!).

A little kitty love before heading to Salvage One.

Her mom gave an approving nod to hair and makeup.

This pillow was foreshadowing of the night up ahead… Tara loves her boy bands.

Don’t know why, but I really like this shot (her reflection in the side mirror).

Wedding dresses look so good hanging at Salvage One…

Rings on thimble molds…

This necklace was the first piece of jewelry Mike ever gave Tara, she wore it as her bracelet.

Mike’s mom pinned his flower.

I love these photos Jamie snapped of Mike and his mom.

Time for the big reveal!

Love!

Gorgeous!

I don’t think Tara had any idea how great she looked in this moment…

Love this photo! (Tara was hiding on the staircase so she could hear the ceremony music)

Love the orange and grey combination.

And then things exploded!

This band had me laughing harder than I have ever laughed at a wedding!

I love me some Teri and Dan!

Congrats Tara and Mike!

Q&A with the bride:
What was the most memorable moment of your day?
Tara: being on stage with the band during “Jesse’s Girl”, my all-time favorite song!

What was your favorite detail?
Tara: I made a sign (that I found on Pinterest) that was hung near the Ceremony that said “Today, two families become one, so pick a seat not a side”.  I’m not crafty, so I was pretty proud of it!

Funniest memory from your wedding day?
Tara: During the song, Baby Got Back, all the ladies were invited up on stage.  Mike came up to the stage and was spanking my “back”.  The look on his face was priceless!

Any advice for future brides/grooms?
Tara: Everyone tells you it will go by so fast, so remember every now and then to take a moment, step back, and take it all in.  and that’s true.  but I would give that advice as it relates to your shower(s), Bachelor(ette) parties, Rehearsal Dinner too.  I didn’t expect those events to go by so fast, and now, if it weren’t for the pictures, I might not believe those events even happened!

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Tara: I would have hired a videographer and I would have had an announcement made at the beginning of the reception that there were three different food stations (some people thought that they were all the same) and that the photo booth was there (some people said they never knew it was there…)

Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Tara: Kauai, Hawaii
