They say, “when you know, you know.” From day one these two “knew.” They had met their match (thanks to match.com!), and their lives were forever changed. Love is such an exciting adventure, it magnifies the highs and helps ease the lows. When you’re in love you see the world through rose-colored glasses, but it’s those trying times when TRUE love is revealed. A little while back Brad’s health took a scary nose dive and it could have been a serious game changer, but every time he looked up from his hospital bed Matt was there. Their love grew stronger than ever, and as Brad recovered they started making serious plans… for an awesome wedding! To say I felt privileged to be a part of this wedding would be an understatement, witnessing this gathering of friends and family was amazing, the outpouring of love from every corner of the room was inspiring. It was a roller coaster ride of emotions, from tears of gratitude and joy to love and laughter, followed by more laughter, with a raucous dance party as the cherry on top!
We met at Prairie Productions for the first look…

Brad+Matt: Overall just feeling very special and loved by the outpouring show of support from all of our family and friends that attended. The last song of the night was “Same Love” by Ryan Lewis and the entire group surrounded Matt and I and danced together to the song. It was very special to us!
What was your favorite detail?
Brad+Matt: Everything was just perfect. The Lighting the décor, the table set up etc….
Any advice for future couples?
Brad+Matt: Take it all in strides. It will be perfect no matter what happens or how you think it is supposed to turn out.
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Brad+Matt: Nope
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Koh Samui, Thailand and Hong Kong
Feel free to add anything else worth mentioning…
Brad+Matt: We had the best vendors ever… Pure Kitchen, Stand and Clap, and our Photographer Bethany (Maypole Studios) all worked fabulously together and made sure we didn’t have to worry about a thing and created the best wedding and party a couple could ask for.

A little history…
How did you meet?
(How long have you known each other?) We met on Match.com. We were together for 3.5 years at the time of our wedding.
When did you know he was “the one”?
I think we both knew from day one. We had a very special connection. However, it was after I became sick last year in 2012 that we went through some very difficult times that most couples don’t endure before they are married. Matt stuck by my side and never thought about turning back. He was my rock and the best support system that anybody could ask for. Not that I had questioned it before, but I knew that it was my turn to show love and dedication to him. That is why I had made the decision to propose to him last December.
Describe the proposal.
It was Friday, November 30th 2012. Matt had a work event after work, so it gave me time to get things set up at home. I had decorated the entire apartment with candles, flowers, etc… I had a special playlist going of songs, and had popped a bottle of Dom Perignon. When Matt arrived at home, he entered into a dimly lit apartment, greeted by me with a glass of champagne at the door. I had escorted him to the couch where we sat and began to talk (he by this point kind of new what was going on…). After i had finally given my little speech, i reached into my sport coat and pulled out the ring and asked him to spend the rest of his life with me. It was a very special, emotional and private moment for us. He obviously said yes. We continued to finish our bottle of champagne, while we made a few phone calls to the most important and special peoples in our lives. We then continued on the celebration with a special dinner at the Drawing Room. All in all, it was the perfect, private and intimate night for us.
