Kate was so excited to marry Imran she couldn’t wait to put on her dress. In fact when I arrived she answered the door ready to go (an hour early!), blushing and radiant. She couldn’t stop smiling, and the way they both lit up when they saw each other was incredible. These two love each other more than anything else in the world, and will do anything for each other (including a surprise “Michael Jackson” appearance before the last song played to end the night with a bang!). Special thanks to Juanita Amartey for making this day run so smoothly.
The day started with this great text (notice the clever emoticons).

Kate was looking beautiful!

She was ready to go, thank goodness there was champagne to help pass the time.

Some last touch-ups before the first look.

Blue skies and rainbows.

They like to kiss…

A lot!

The flower girls gave Imran a big hug.

Kate’s 3 cousins officiated the ceremony, and did a terrific job!

Ruby arrived in time for the family photos!

A great use for those wine corks you’ve been saving…

Not sure where these dollar bills came from, but it was time to party!

They had several cardboard cut-outs of themselves at different ages (which proved very popular in the photo booth and on the dance floor)- what a great idea!

A little young for the bouquet?!

And then “Michael” made an appearance…

Congrats Kate and Imran, may you always make each other’s hearts giddy and your feet feel like dancing (just put on a sparkly glove and break into a moonwalk)!

Q&A with the bride and groom:
What was the most memorable moment of your day?
Kate: Our First Look – I could not WAIT to see Imran!
Imran: Kate’s vows. Wow, I’m a lucky guy!

What was your favorite detail?
Kate: I loved that our table numbers were all cities we’ve traveled to with photos and a little story about our time there

Funniest memory from your wedding day?
Kate: When I kissed Imran as soon as I made it down the aisle and he gave me the cheek, as if we weren’t allowed to kiss before we were pronounced man and wife 🙂
Imran: same as Kate, and also when the flower girls came over to hug us after our wedding pronouncement and kiss. Seeing people posing with our cardboard cut-outs was fun too. And the Best Man’s speech too (which he’s almost done with now…) that included him playing “All I Want is You” by U2  and the surprise karaoke of “Beautiful Day” – with tambourines. Juanita and Mike surprised the hell out of us.

Any advice for future brides/grooms?
Kate/Imran: Get a good wedding coordinator so you don’t have to worry about ANYTHING!

If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Kate: Nope!
Imran: Yes, I’d figure out a way to do it twice- it was the best day of my life!

Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Kate/Imran: Hawaii

Feel free to add anything you think is worth mentioning (like Rico!).

Kate: Imran surprised me with a dance-off performance to Billie Jean between him and Rico, a Michael Jackson impersonator.  My husband has serious moves, but I know a lot went into pulling that off.  In that moment, I never loved him more.
