Katie was the maid-of-honor at Diana and Kyle’s wedding a couple of years ago, and played a critical role (actually she’s 100% responsible, thanks Katie!) in introducing Diana to my photography. I may have said to Katie more than a few times at Diana’s wedding “when you get engaged, you’d better call me.” And guess what? She did!
After several encounters thanks to Marquette basketball, beers, and friends, Chaz finally worked up the nerve to ask Katie out. After all those years of knowing each other a first date was born, and luckily it was a good one. In fact Katie said it was the best first date she has ever been on!
This is just our first installment (we have plans for more photos once Spring actually shows up), Katie and Chaz took me to some of their favorite spots- the super cozy Farmhouse Tavern and the kitschy yet awesome Will’s Northwoods Inn (just imagine a bar containing all things Wisconsin, from sports paraphernalia to giant moose heads). Beers were the theme of the day (and will be for the wedding too!), there’s nothing better on a cold winter’s day than good company and good brew!
I’m so glad we braved the cold for a few minutes before our next stop, these are my favorites!
Congrats Katie and Chaz, I can’t wait to celebrate your wedding with you this Fall!
