Madhuri and Asim were planning a trip back to Chicago to ask her parents for their marriage blessing, Asim had purchased the ring and was ready to make it official. They decided to include a traditional engagement ceremony with their family while visiting, and I was so excited to take part in documenting such a special occasion. Any photographer will tell you how refreshing it is to change things up, especially with something as colorful and different as a Hindu ceremony. The colors, traditions, flower petals and various blessings were wonderful to witness, not to mention all the smiles shared between these two. They couldn’t have been happier to celebrate their engagement with their loved ones, it was a wonderful day complete with gorgeous sunny skies. Congratulations Madhuri and Asim!
