Another year has ended and another year begins. I continue to be amazed by the wonderful things in my life, and like many of us, was pondering the notion of New Years resolutions. Although I am not the type to rush out and join a gym, rethink my wardrobe, clean out my email inbox, etc., one idea did come to mind- a weekly blog post. I share my photo projects with the world wide web regularly, but rarely disclose personal thoughts or ideas. Being in the business of weddings, I am surrounded by positivity and love, and why not share some of that? There are many things that contribute to a successful marriage as well as a happy life, whether it be a trip to a bed and breakfast, a salad made with fresh heirloom tomatoes paired with a glass of crisp white wine, listening to a new record on headphones before bed (gotta love those headphone splitters- music for two!), a walk in the snow… the list goes on and on. So here is the goal: to share the little things that make my life wonderful. My first week of 2011 and my first blog post for “marriage mondays” could feature none other than my better half- my husband. This week we celebrate our anniversary, a whopping 12 years! We eloped to a charming spot in Cape Cod, and the butterflies that I felt as we exchanged vows in that little church on a hillside still remain. I married the most talented man I have ever met, he continues to make me laugh often and enriches my life daily. He is my best friend and my favorite person, I am amazed by his talents in music and ever genre, and there is no better place than the spot I have beside him as we curl up in bed every night. There is nothing about him that I want to change, I love him just the way he is. Many things make our relationship thrive, but it all starts with just us two. So he is the subject of my first weekly post, and the many things we love will be the inspiration for the following Mondays posts. Cheers to 2011 and marriage- another year of love and adventure for us all!
