Sometimes it makes sense to reschedule… a rainy overcast day one week earlier just wouldn’t have been the same. We waited until the following weekend and were rewarded with moderate temperatures, beautiful golden sunlight as the day started to dim, and the last traces of color on the ground and in the trees before Winter blanketed Chicago in ice and snow. We knew we were lucky to have such a pretty day for our session, and I was extra lucky having a sweet and lovely couple to photograph! Martina and Lester have that shyness of a young couple in love, the kind that makes you blush easily when the other stands close, maybe even hold your breath when your hands touch. They are precious! We had a wonderful time exploring the gardens (I love this place because you always find something new no matter how many times you’ve been here), and the results are just as beautiful as this couple. Congrats Martina and Lester, I can’t wait to celebrate your wedding with you this Spring!
My favorites… harnessing the last bit of sunlight.
