Kathy and Lee… are getting married…
Kathy’s brother wrote a little song to celebrate the day, and to say it was stuck in my head for days afterwards would be an understatement! In fact hearing the entire room singing it at the top of their lungs as the night came to an end was pretty freakin’ epic. What a party!
Kathy was the definition of gorgeous, a total knock out. Add in the handsome groom and we are talking serious stunners- wowza! I think my favorite moment was when Kathy saw herself in the mirror before the first look and couldn’t help but say, “I look so good!” There is nothing better than a bride that feels like a million bucks on her wedding day (big thanks to Elise and Cristina!).
The whole day was filled with so much happiness, family and friends were thrilled to celebrate with the newlyweds. And then there was the dancing… it was off the charts! Not only did Kathy and Lee have the greatest dance moves of all time, their dance floor was high energy from start to finish. I have never witnessed so much excitement at a reception, every time I turned around someone was being lifted into the air, jumping, yelling, or just going crazy. It was awesome!
The boys were killing time with a round of poker before getting dressed.
Yes, the groomsmen insisted on remaining shirtless for these photos!
Lee’s mom grabbed a quick hug before the first look.
Beautiful couple!
It was super cold outside, but we braved a few minutes to get these lovely photos. I am so glad we did!
Goofing around with the girls!
Lee loves to golf so the guys hit the putting green for some photos.
Time to sign the ketubah!
Married!

Lee and Kathy’s first dance got everyone on their feet!
If this is just the beginning, you two have a seriously amazing future ahead of you. Congrats Kathy and Lee!

Q&A with the bride and groom:
What was the most memorable moment of your day?
Kathy and Lee: the first dance
Any advice for future brides/grooms?
Kathy and Lee: Pick a location/caterer/etc that you can trust, who you know will do a great job. Don’t sweat the small stuff – your relationship and those around you will make your wedding awesome. You barely remember what anything in the room even looks like.
If you could do it all over, would you change anything?
Kathy and Lee: Spend less time worrying about details.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
Kathy and Lee: New Zealand and Fiji!
Feel free to add anything else worth mentioning…
Kathy and Lee: Bethany is awesome! Go outside for pictures even if it’s 10 degrees…but don’t make your bridal party come with!
A little history…
How did you meet? (How long have you known each other?)
We met the summer before college through one of Kathy’s bridesmaids; 7 years!
When did you know he/she was “the one”?
Lee: The one?
Kathy: When he showed me the ring…just kidding!
Describe the proposal.
At first the couple set up a housewarming party and had both sides of the family coming over. Lee extended the invites to include friends as well, and told them he was mixing the housewarming party with a surprise “promotion” party for Kathy’s conveniently timed promotion at work. The day of the party not only was Kathy cooking all day, but the furnace and water heater broke. Needless to say, by the time guests arrived Kathy was ready for a drink and promptly took 3 shots of tequila as soon as the bottle was opened. Everyone sat down for dinner and Lee gave a welcoming toast that took about 20 minutes, thanking everyone for coming, congratulating many of the guests on recent accomplishments and then came the big announcement. Reaching into his pants, literally in to his pants, Lee pulled out a box and then popped the big question to Kathy. She (drunkenly) said “yes” and then cried. Barely anyone ate the dinner as we were all immersed in celebration and busy emptying all bottles of alcohol, leading to a night everyone couldn’t remember.
